Paneer Peda-paneer balls

 
Ingredients fir paneer peda –paneer balls       

• ½ kg  paneer
 
• 250g milk powder
 
• ¾  cup milk
 
• ½  cup sugar
 
• 2 ½  tsp ghee
 
• ½  tsp cardamom powder
 
• roasted cashew nuts for garnishing paneer peda 
 
 
Method for paneer peda( paneer balls)

• Use homemade Paneer.
 
• For preparation of Peda, made Khoya first.
 
• Heat a pan on medium flame and melt ghee in it.
 
• Add milk, milk powder and crushed paneer into the pan. Mix it well.
 
• Mash paneer and keep on stirring continuously until mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
 
• No moisture has to be left back. (Else after adding sugar, the Khoya which is in the dough form will become a paste.)
• Transfer the Khoya into a bowl and let it cool until it becomes just lukewarm.
 
• Add sugar & cardamom powder to the Khoya and knead it for about a minute till everything blends together and become soft dough.
 
• Divide the dough mix into about 12 equal parts and make small round balls.
 
• Flatten the tops and garnish paneer peda with cashew nuts.
