An a easy way to make sambhar in the microwave. Even + the vegetables are cut smaller so that your sambhar is ready to a jiffy.

Ingredients for Sambhar
• ¼ cup toohar dal .1 tsp mustard seeds[rai]. ½ cup onions chopped.4 to 6 curry leaves,1/4 tsp asafoetida [hing].,1/2 cup potatoes,peeled and chopped,1/2 cup brinjal chopped , ½ cup red pumpkin, 1 tomato,1/2 tsp turmeric powder,3 tsp sambhar masala,1/2 tsp red chilli.
• 1 tsp tamarind [imli] pulp.1 tsp oil and salt to taste.
Method for Sambhar
• Wipe the dal with the damp cloth and grind to blender.mix it with 6 cups of water in a large microwave safe bowl and micro for 8 min. whisking well after every 2 min. Sothat no lumps remain. Keep aside
• Take another micro bowl and combine oil and rai ,micro for 1 min. add the onion ,c urry leaves, hing and micro for4 min, now mix all vegetables and turmeric powder, salt and add 1 cup water and micro for 5 min.
• Add this to the cook dal, along with the tomato, sambhar masala and chilli powder and mix well and micro for 3 min. Add tamarind pulp and micro for 2 min.
